A long time ago, I could have used this advice. If I don’t enjoy reading my post back or hearing it out loud, I should reconsider.

When it comes to clarity, thought leaders can face a lot of challenges:
- Too technical
- Too long
- Too blah
- Too serious
- Too disjointed
- Too obvious it’s all ChatGPT’s idea
Hint: I’m not a professional writer by trade, either.
However, as a scrappy freelancer, small business owner, and mom with COVID babies, I had to come up with something. Or else keep doing everything it takes. Ignoring at what cost to get every assignment done on time.
In 2024, after 15 years in tech marketing leadership, and recently, four years of it working full-time without steady childcare, I chose to stop doing “everything it takes” and to specialize. To put the focus on taking care and holding space for me.
I landed on a choice to support brand strategy and web design directly with founders or their small marketing team of one:
- To help you choose a more focused path and see how this goes a lot further.
- To believe in the transformation and see where you can make an impact and difference.
- To get you to accomplish what you’re not getting to with your website, the supporting creative, and the goals.
- And to get through this messy middle and fast-moving everything together, showing more compassion and clarity.
The mission I’m on is to help you move from “I’m overwhelmed” to “I’m ready” with your business.
Especially as your thought leadership brand forms, pivots, and explores ways to be more effective, hold consistency, inspiration, and motivation.
No Extremes, Only Constant Alignment
One of the challenges I face here is, of course, burnout. Choosing to thrive, and sticking with this plan or boundary by squashing old habits, you know…overthinking and overdoing it. And, there’s uncertainty at the start of anything so new. Will you ever trust me?
But also, this is a troubling time. Because of how extreme, high, low, and over the top writing and publishing have become to hold one’s attention. And to hold my attention and space to believe, this is worth the time.
See the Small Wins Today
There’s no one system, framework, strategy, process, or right way to accomplish anything here. There’s only you, clearer choices, and support.
So, whatever it is you do or choose, there’s a difference people will notice between you wanting to, and you having to.
Between you focusing on connecting, or being too complicated and spread too thin to do so.
I will be using this space to create and work with my energy, and not against it. Will you join me?
